The Oakland Raiders have pulled out two surprising victories in the last three weeks thanks to fourth-quarter comebacks. The Washington Redskins have been victimized by one in three consecutive games. The Raiders look to win a third home game in the same season for the first time since 2004 when they host the Redskins on Sunday. Oakland (4-8) beat AFC North-leading Cincinnati 20-17 on Nov. 22 and knocked off defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh 27-24 last Sunday.

The Washington Redskins are a professional football team that plays in the Eastern division of the NFC. In it’s franchise history the team has won five NFL Championships, three Super Bowl Championships, five Conference Championships, and 12 Division Championships. The Washington Redskins franchise actually started in Boston as the Boston Braves in 1932. But after 5 years with little fan support the team moved to Washington DC. In it’s new home the team would win it’s first NFL Championship in 1937, and then again in 1942. But it would take 40 years for the franchise to win another championship.
Oakland Raiders History
The Oakland Raiders are a professional football team that plays in the West division of the AFC in the National Football League. The team was founded in 1960 as part of the American Football League . They won their first championship in the AFL in 1967. Since the franchise joined the NFL in 1970, they have won the Super Bowl three times, most recently in 1983.
